NBFX TP5 in Vegas Pro 15 Suite can be overlayed onto a video (it is listed in Video FX tab) or placed on the timeline all by itself (Media Generator tab). I just hope one day they'll get it right so these plugins can really shine. See, I'm happy to have TP5 within VS, I really am! But it could be so much more and I really don't see why us users/customers shouldn't ask for a better integration, which absolutely is possible.
That leads me to ask: Why is this the case?

AFAIK most of the plugins you mentioned work as you said in other applications (e.g. Actually I'm using the technique you described (cutting the base clip and then adding TP5 on one of it) which is good, but it could be more flexible if they had done it properly. Sure a lot of plugins have their issues within VS, but this shouldn't prevent Corel from properly integrating these instead of just slapping them on VS as just another selling point. I've learned my way around the limitations of VS, same as you did and wouldn't want to switch to another editor as I've become used to the workflow of VS. I didn't made every upgrade since then, but most (since X7 I made every upgrade IIRC). I'm using VS since back in the days when it was Ulead VideoStudio.
